He loves us so much that he calls US... Us.. a people filled with sin (sin which is something God can't abide)... but he calls us HIS CHILDREN. That's what he does. He loves us. He claims us as his own (that's what it means when a Dad calls a child HIS child.. he's claiming that person as his own). God claims us as his own.
So know this is true. We are what he claims us to be.
And one day, we shall be as he wants us to be. That day hasn't happened yet. (kinda obvious eh? Being as we still sin and fall short of the God's glory). But we are promised that one day we shall be like him.
One day we shall truly see him as he is.
Isn't that great?
But note this: The reason that we shall be like him is this. When we see him we shall see him AS HE IS. Seeing God changes us. We can't help but be changed when we see God.
As so we we hope in God, we are purified as God is pure.
I don't know about you but I find this passage a comfort and a hope. I am learning to see God more. And as i see him more I find myself being changed. And one day I shall really be changed because I will truly see God as he is. Is that a hope for you as well?
