Lisa-Jo Baker on Fridays does a five minute challenge. This week she chose the word Bare.
GO AH! This is a challenge to write on this word Bare. Bare means unclothed, naked, not hiding anything.... people aren't like that anymore you know. Ever since the fall. Before the fall, people walked around freely, sharing everything with God, unashamed, just loving God and each other without hesitation. Then the fall. It all changed. They were ashamed and hide themselves. Animals lost their lives so the people could be clothed again. Sin changed everything. So now being bare is not so good. It's a shameful thing. Which makes me ask the question....can we truly bare ourselves before each other? I don't think so. The fall changed everything, it really did. We can try, but I don't think we'll ever really succeed. We all have things that we want to hide. BUT the positive thing is...we can NEVER hide from God. That hasn't changed you know. God still knows us as full well now as he did before the fall. Just now we sometimes break his heart in his knowing. He knows so much about us and just wants us to be his own. Truly. STOP So head on over here if you want to participate as well, or even if you want to read what others have done. :) Trust me, everyone's take on this will be different. :) |
