He seems like quite a nice young man. Shy, very polite, easy to feed, getting bolder at telling us when he doesn't know something. the English lessons we have to teach are too easy for him so I'm thinking outside the box with him a bit. The other day we looked at English idioms as we'd already "done" his English lesson in the previous couple of days.
it's a bit of a challenge. I'm trying hard to find things to do with him. We're not the most exciting family for a young teen to hang out with but he seems to be enjoying himself for the most part. Our son is a tad bit shy yet at asking Paul to play with him though he will eagerly talk his ear off. :) He's eager to help us work and is learning to make himself at home.
This week we're taking him camping.
Tomorrow is Jim's birthday.
This weekend he'll be going to Niagara Falls with some of the other teens. he should have fun.
Next week will be more challenging since our son is at day camp and I've work to get done around the house. So I'm hoping to get him up to London to visit with one of the families up there for at least two of the days.
Tonight I asked him to explain the French educational system. he did a fairly good job, but I had more questions so I did some googling tonight on it. It helped to fill in the gaps of what his English just wasn't up to. :)
