(Mark 3:7-12 ESV)
Can you imagine, being so busy about your father's work, about GOD's work, that you are popular? I know, we aren't God. We can't do some of the things that Jesus did (or perhaps we can but don't believe that we can). But imagine, a climate where we would be popular for being about the Father's business?
Nowadays it seems that folks doing things 'cause it's what God told them to do are more often attacked than not. It's often hard to be an active Christian. One who wants to do good and right by the people that God places into their path.
The demons knew him well, they would fall down before him, they would cry out "you are the Son of God", but Jesus told them to be quiet.
It amazes me you know. The demons would be quiet when told to be, but before then they called out that he was the Son of God. Why didn't people believe it? Was it not clearly understood? It must have been since the disciples recorded it. Just makes me wonder sometimes is all.
But the facts are: Jesus commanded them to be silent, people were healed so often they crowded close to touch him so they could be healed as well, and The disciples had a boat ready for him should there be need.
That we all might have a boat ready should there be need eh? :)
