- Hymn # 421 Rock of Ages
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.

God's Will for Our Lives: Romans 12:1-8
Scripture: Romans 8:12-17
Sermon NOTES
Today's focus is on Pentecost.
The spirit gives us what we need to speak to others, but also enables us to live as believers aught to live.
Romans 8 is a high point in scripture.
The power of the holy spirit is necessary in our lives as believers.
If we live by the spirit we have an obligation to put to death the misdeeds of the body.
By the action of Jesus Christ I have been changed, saved, redeemed. Therefore my sin-filled ways need to end.
Living in the flesh does not please God. Living by the Spirit does please God. We need to remember that we are free from our sin-filled bodies. We are free, no longer slaves to our desires.
If we live to our bodies and their desires we will die. But we have received the Spirit so if we live by it we will live.
Put it to death!!! Use the Spirit!! Let the Spirit do the work.
We are sons of God joined by his Son. His Spirit gives us strength.
Christ died to set us free! He would never send us back into slavery!
We CRY Abba father. And he will give us strength. We cry to God. He will help us because he has set us free.
Abba..daddy father God will lead us in his way. He will be our strength.
We will suffer with God. We share in that suffering and we will share in his glory. Suffering is part of the life we have in Christ.
See where he leads us. Through suffering to glory.
