[32] That evening at sundown they brought to him all who were sick or oppressed by demons. [33] And the whole city was gathered together at the door. [34] And he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.
(Mark 1:29-34 ESV)
Simon's mother was sick and as soon as he was told, Jesus went to her and healed her. He healed her so well that she was able to serve them. He didn't dilly dally saying "oh, let's see if she'll get better on her own". He saw a need for healing and dealt with it.
Same with the people bringing the sick and demon-possessed up to see him at night. He didn't complain saying "oh, I've had a long day, go away folks". The need was right there, he could deal with it, and so he did.
Good motto to live by eh?
To see a need.
Know you can handle that need.
And simply deal with what's in front of you.
He didn't go looking.
It was simply there.
And something that he could manage.
So he dealt with it.
Good life motto. I must go and do the same.
